Nokia 3310 - SIM Free (various colours)

No frills/camera/bluetooth or any of that. What it does have is :

* Good sound quality
* Easy to navigate buttons and menu functions/address book
* Alarm that sounds even when the phone is switched off (some of the more recent models dont, which is a pain as I use my phone as a wakeup alarm when travelling)
* decent battery life - I tend to recharge overnight, but it can last a few days in a pinch.
* Solid build. Mine has been knocked around a fair bit, and is showing signs of wear on the case, but it still functions perfectly.
* vast range of changeable covers. Not my cup of tea, but if you want to colour co-ordinate then you can, they are sold cheaply at any market stall.
* fairly cheap to buy these days. Thay can be unlocked to all networks for £5 or less at many internet sites.

I have tried many of the modern phones, and their features are very impressive. But call me a ludite, I really just want a phone to make calls, not to play games or do bluetooth dating.

If you want to impress your friends with the latest technology, dont buy this. But if you want a good, dependable phone that is easy to use and reliable, you could do a lot worse.

This is a great phone. I've had mine since 2000 and not had a moment's concern. I put money into it and charge it and that's all I do with it. All I wanted when I bought it was a phone that made calls and took calls and that's what this does. I've just looked around at some of the features and had no idea that you could download ringtones, for example - I like phones that ring, so mine has a 'ring ring' ring tone, which came with it. Granted, I don't have the most sophisticated lifestyle in the world so I suppose my phone doesn't get used as often as an average mobile, but at the same time I don't want to spend all day trying to figure out how to make a telephone call or get distracted with sophisticated functions.

Being slightly chunkier than the mobiles that are available now means that I can hold it comfortably in the palm of my hand and dial a number, then hold it comfortably whilst talking on the phone. Other very slim phones I find difficult to hold. This, to me, is very important. Haven't dropped it yet, though!

Good design never goes out of fashion and attractive although all those touch mobile phones with 'apps', cameras and MP3 players no doubt are, I'll be keeping my trusty Nokia.

I used to own this classic from Nokia, when it first came out. If only I could remember where my original phone is.....this prompted me to look for another, right here on Amazon. And I couldn't resist the offer.
I am more than pleased with my new/old phone, and I have all the accessories for it, so why should I go for an up to date phone....I just love the Nokia 3310....a true classic.

This item has been a great buy. The mobile works perfectly. COuld not find any faults with it at all, and delivery was very prompt
